Are my candles a fire hazzard?
Tealight candles come in a little sleeve (either metal or plastic), and I have some new birch-wood candle holders made for tealights. The wood is raw, and does not have any type of seal or coating. Should I use a metal or plastic tealight in my wooden candle holders? Would either one get too hot next to the wood? Would either be a fire hazzard?

It’s probably okay, but I wouldn’t leave them unattended at all, just in case. I burn tealights in small glass holders and those holders never get too hot for me to wrap my hand around them. Not hot enough to start a fire if that holder was wood. The flame in a tealight is relatively small and should never get close to the wood. If you want an extra layer of safety, find a metal plate to set the holders on so if they do catch fire they’re less likely to set fire to whatever they’re sitting on.
