Please Cleaning Help Coffee Pot cleaning gone wrong?
I cleaned my stainless steel coffee pot with bleach and water to get the coffee stains out of my stainless steel thermo and let it soak in water fill (I DID NOT RUN IT THROUGH) after which I cleaned it out with soap and water then about an hour later I put white vinegar and water in the coffee pot and ran it through the coffee pot. When I went to pour the water out of the thermo the water was a light blue!?!? Not sure why that happened and would like to know if it is still safe to make coffee out of? I heard that if you mix bleach and vinegar it is deadly but I called poison control and they said only when they are mixed directly and that since I washed it out with soap and water before I added the vinegar it should be fine. But Im not sure if its safe…has anyone else had this problem before?
Run more vinegar through the maker until it come out clear. Then flush with fresh water. The blue is from the mold in there breaking up…Keep at it it will be fine!
