Creating a “red” kitchen?
My husband and I are in the process of buying a big fixer upper in a great neighborhood. I have all red small appliances in my kitchen (stand mixer, microwave, coffee maker) right now and I want to incorporate them into my new kitchen without overdoing the red. I want the kitchen to keep it’s vintage charm (built in 1897) without being too loud. What neutral paint/cabinet colors would look good with red appliances on the counters? How about large appliances? Thanks!
I would choose a toffee finish for the cabinets, a shade of golden paint (like “anjou pear” by Sherwin Williams, and stainless steel appliances.

Here is a kitchen makeover that was on HGTV with a similar color palette to what I am suggesting:

And here are a couple using red accents:

Truck Driver’s Boogie: Big Rig Hits, 1939-1969 $17.98 Trucker anthology albums are a country tradition. Unlike Starday Records’ classic 1960s LPs with their wonderfully cheesy covers, this one takes a historical approach, beginning with the original trucker lament, Western swing bandleader Cliff Bruner’s “Truck Driver’s Blues” from 1939. Other early rarities reflect varied styles and moods. The slick Hollywood Western sound of Dick Reinhart’s 1941 “T… |
