TEAS… what are your favorite brand of teas…? also what is the nutritional difference with…?
…White,Green,or Black teas?
i have several favorites… Celestial Seasonings…. i love their Perfectly Pear white tea and Tension Tamer… Twinings… i love the Orange, Mango, Passion Fruit Flavor… and there is Wissotzky Tea and the Original Oregon Chai…
i don’t really care for the taste of the Green tea and i have often wondered what the nutritional variations were between the three… Green, Black, White…?
do you have some favorites that you would like to share…?
thanks ;-D
Last year, one of the doctors I work for had surgery, and we wanted to send him a basket of goodies. After looking at fruit basket and the such, it occurred to me that he was a big fan of great teas. You don’t want to get him started on that, he will talk to you forever about the different teas, where they originated, their history, etc. I wanted to have it delivered, so I searched on line and found this wonderful place:

Of course, since I also like tea, just looking around got me very tempted to try some for myself, so I ordered a variety of teas. I cannot recommend them enough: they are delicious.
I started making my own ice tea and have enjoyed it not only through last summer, but also as a drink all year long, instead of sodas, which I don’t care much for, or flavored water, that are OK, but not much of a change. Here are some of the teas I chose, in order of my personal preference:
Lavender: wonderful smell, good for your digestive system, light.
Bella Coola: fruity, perfect for the summer.
Monks Blend: Just delicious hot or cold, with a wonderful scent.
Florida Orange and Sunshine Lemon Rooibos: Refreshing and full of minerals, good for your health too.
Moroccan Madness: Definitely a summer ice tea, peppermint
Jasmine tea: better hot than cold, but a great scented tea
Just to name a few. These are just my favorite, and I will order them again.
Like you, I tried green tea and can’t stand it: it taste like water you cooked spinach in. I do like spinach, but not the water.
I don’t think there is much difference in nutritional value between the different teas, but some have minerals or, like the Rooibos, have a lot of anti-oxidant. Herbal teas also have some properties that make them good for your health. Nothing like a good cup or glass of tea!
