Great coffee
I am very satisfied with this product. The I've been watching for a while, especially as an alternative leakage we use every day for reasons to stay away from plastic. I'm glad I waited because the new design the mango is wonderful – the coffee is poured out with ease and grace. Some things you should be ready for, however – which is about three to four rounds of pouring boiling water on the grounds waiting for it drip, and the glass container is cooled very quickly. I am also concerned that additional measures of boiling water and pour through would be too much in the morning instead of filling the drip machine and hit the switch, but I think I actually like the ritual of preparing coffee the Chemex (and I'm not a morning person.) Also, I found that pre-heat the Chemex with hot tap water for several minutes waiting for the water to boil coffee makes a big difference, and then once the coffee is ready, pour everything into a stainless steel carafe or thermos to keep warm. The coffee is so good that any surplus at the end of the day, either re-hot or iced, is delicious. The cup is six perfect one to two enthusiastic coffee drinkers. I recommend!
Glad Got It
So far I like the Chemex lot. The best coffee I've taken a long time and it's nice not having to worry about water escaping from the bottom of my old coffee machine! I prefer to heat the water separately to go through that again. – The glass is thicker on the side, but I worry breakage. I was torn between this size and smaller, but I'm glad I went with this one. Although usually only one or two cups of coffee while it is good to know I can do more if I want.
Makes a great cup of coffee
The Chemex is a wonderful experience making coffee. Some people think these are new, but have been around for a looooong time. Combined with the Chemex filters that will start brewing as good as your local brewery. Takes a little practice and several attempts to get the right method, but in the end is totally worth it. I prefer this handled by the classic version, you only pour a little easier.
