Broken a mercury thermometer?
I dropped it in my coffee by accident and it melted so in like seconds i ran outside and left the cup in the garden, i then put the thermometer in it’s glass casing wearing a mask and gloves and threw it away in the hazard waste bin, i also emptied the cup in the garden and threw it away. Is this ok, i won’t get poisoning? and the mercury didn’t go anywhere else outside the cup.
are you sure it’s mercury? Was the fluid red or silver?
Silver is mercury
red is alcohol with red dye in it.
