does a teapot warmer work to keep dips warm?

I am looking for something for my boyfriend for Christmas. He makes the rotel/velveeta queso dip a LOT. I want to get him something to keep the dip warm. I’ve thought about crock pots (too deep). My only other options that I found are fondue sets and/or a teapot warmer. Any other suggestions/ideas?
