calling CIVIL WAR buffs everywhere!!! How do you make a regimental flag look CIVIL WAR old?
so my military history project was to creat a confederate regimental flag for the civil war. i hav completed the flag and it looks pretty sweet but now we have to make it authentic-looking. so far ive heard of tea or coffee to stain it, and i will probably burn the edges a bit but are there any other ways to make it look CIVIL WAR authentic?
Bury it in dirt for a day or two- that should give it a “crusty” feel to it. Take a knife and punch a few small holes to act as mini-ball fire. But flags where always in good condition- it was during battles mosty that they became torn- as half the time they where in the casing.
rack its a REGEMENTAL FLAG of the CSA- not a American flag.
