What is a good, safe way to polish “real” silver.. ie trays, tea services, ect.?
I’ve heard of several “home remedy” mixtures that will effectively polish and remove tarnish from silver pieces. I help an older lady in her home and she has many peices badly in need of cleaning. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! The old-timey silver paste polish is not an option! Thanks…
Stop Polishing Silverware –
To quickly clean tarnished silverware, line an pan with aluminum foil, shiny side up. Place your silverware in the pan. Sprinkle with baking soda, then add boiling water. Allow to soak for a minute or two, then add cooler water to remove the pieces without burning your hands. Rinse with warm water and dry immediately. Presto…clean and shiny without all the work!
