iced tea assistance needed,please!!!!!!?
as we all know,iced tea is vital to all health and happiness!alas,mine is either bitter and medicinal,or weak and tasteless.what am i doing wrong? tips,hints and recipes gratefully accepted!!!!
Bring two quarts of water to the point of not quite boiling and remove from heat. Add eight teabags and with the tags hanging outside the pan put the lid on. Let it stand until cooled. Remove bags from water but only squeeze them enough so they’re not dripping. Put half the brewed tea into a 1/2 gallon pitcher and fill with cold water until you see the desired strength. Pour over ice. You may not want to add quite so much water if you use a lot of ice in your glass or are going to put ice in the pitcher.
Eight teabags in a one gallon glass jar with a lid,left sitting on the back porch on a sunny day is the best iced tea you will ever drink. And you don’t have to dilute sun tea; you just leave it out on the porch until it is the right shade of tea that you like; suntea will not be as dark as brewed tea. Adjust tea bags accordingly with either method.
Letting the water boil is what makes the tea bitter.
