Making red raspberry leaf tea?
I have red raspberry plants in my back yard. Can I just dry the leaves out and put them in a mesh tea ball instead of buying the tablets? I figure it’s fresher this way. When to start drinking it?
It does NOT induce labor. It tones your uterus to make contractions more productive when you do go into labor, which can make the labor shorter. But it does not make labor come any sooner than it would have anyway.
These are red raspberry plants that I planted myself so I know exactly what they are.
I do organic gardening, which is one of the reasons I’m thinking of using my own leaves, because I know for a fact there are no pesticides used on them.
It’s probably a good idea to buy the ingredients if you want to use fresh ones. The stuff growing in your yard, unless you planted it, might be harmful. Better to be safe. Try a health food store, though, if you want to use fresh leaves. They will be able to tell you how to dry and brew them, too.
