Campbell Soup containers work in a microwave without sparking – How?
My mother told me * not * to put anything metal in the microwave – fork, spoon or a cup of tea gold plated. Now Campbell's soup "Ready to Go" product has a zippered cover who retires, but leaves a metal edge – why not spark? In fact, Campbell tire cover does not respond to a magnet – he says he has little iron and steel in these containers microwave soup.
The sparks occur when different voltages are present in several places in the metal. The response of some metals is wrong as all conductive metals have a problem. But if the form is carefully controlled, the problem does not exist.
