What does “A tea in the Harem” mean?

I’m reading the book by Mehdi Charef, but I can’t figure out the meaning behind the title! It would really help if someone could answer this

I haven’t read the book, which is translated from the original French, but perused its reviews on Amazon just now. The French title is somewhat different: “The au Harem d’Archimede”. (The in French should have an accent mark over the e and be pronounced tay and means tea.) Anyway, the main review describes the story as of Majid, who is the son of Algerian immigrants, living in France and is a member of a dark underworld of French society where he is indulges with his friends in drugs and petty crimes and is subjected to torment and the prejudices of his nonArab neighbors. I can only offer my concept of the title’s meaning, but I would say that it indicates a paradox; tea in the harem would be similar to tea in the slums, a situation which would be unimaginable, a contrast between two worlds. The tea would be a French tradition, while the harem is an Arab/Islamic tradition in which women were enslaved to the Sultan. Tea would not be served in a harem most probably.
