wedding table center piece dilemma!!!?
ok so for the center pieces at my wedding i was going to put a tall (9″) vase with garden rocks and rose petals holding a 6″ candle… well, i bought a sample set to make sure it looks good, but the candle totally melted all over the rocks and it looks bad!!! i wanted people to be able to take the vase and candle home, but it wont look pretty after the reception… so… i am thinking about getting shorter, wider vases and still putting the garden rocks in but putting in a couple of fishes in each one… and to light up the tables i have little pink tea light holders… will the tea lights be enough to light up the tables even though they are small? will the fish look good still as a dress up to the table?
I like the idea of low vases better than tall vases, mainly because I like to be able to look across the table when I eat! Also, people will have trouble seeing the first dance, etc. with the tall vases to look around. My vote is for the lower vases with rocks and water, then float candles and maybe a few flowers on top. And really, I have been to quite a few weddings in the last five years and can’t tell you what any of the centerpieces looked like.
