Does decaf green tea have the same benefits as regular?
I’d like to start drinking green tea for the health benefits – to increase my metabolism, and to get those antioxidants. Does anyone know if the decaffeination process takes away from those benefits? I want to be able to drink it in the evening, and caffeine is a big no-no for me that time of day.
If there is pasteurization involved it lessens the nutrients. If you are looking for a good antioxidant then you should look at the products ORAC rating. I drink AZUL because it has all the highest rated super antioxidants fruits included and it is not pasteurized so I get as much of the nutrients as possible.
