Dessert with cheese, and presentation question.?
Tonight I am serving my family sushi with a special desert.
Green Tea pound cake with banana ginger sorbet.
My question is, how should I present this desert?
One thought I had was a thin triangle slice of extra sharp cheddar cheese with the sorbet molded into the shape of an upside down yogert cup. I could rest this whole thing on top of a slice of the pound cake. perhaps throw a mint leaf somewhere for looks.
Do you think that the cheese would taste good with this desert? and do you have any other ideas about presentation.
Properly, the cheese course comes before dessert.
Too, I don’t think the banana ginger sorbet would complement the sharp cheddar.
I like the rest of it though. Very inventive.
