Can you help me find a tea storage solution?
I have a huge pile of different kinds of tea, almost all in tea bags (not looseleaf). They’re just sitting in their various boxes, completely disorganized. I’d like to organize them, but I can’t find a good, inexpensive solution for that! I know you can buy tea storage boxes, but they’re small and expensive, and I’d need a bunch of them to store all of my tea. So, what can I buy that will help me with this?
Note: I don’t just want a plain box to dump all the bags into at random. I’d like to have them organized, much like a tea storage box, but I need something bigger than that.
So, the goal is to find something that fits the following criteria:
*As cheap as possible
*Holds a large quantity of tea bags in an organized fashion
*Not too unsightly
Ten points to whoever can come up with the most creative idea! Thank you!
I’m not sure if the largest package that comes around a teabag would fit, but there are all kinds of divided plastic storage boxes for everything from emboidery thread to fishing tackle to beads to action figures, etc., etc., and some for no particular purpose.
They’re sold in all kinds of places though** so you’d have to look around or online to make sure the compartments were tall enough to wide enough to accommodate the individual tea bag packages, and in the orientation you want. If the tea bags were not in pouches, they’d fit mos of those containers but the odors might mingle more than you want (unless you put each type in a small fold-over sandwich plastic bag or something before putting into the compartment):

You could also use other compartment type things like those for putting silverware in a drawer, or the ones intended for regular bathroom drawers to sort out combs, makeup, etc.
You could do the same thing with a cardboard box, etc., just make your own dividers and perhaps put each set of bags (or the whole cardboard box) in a plastic bag to keep the bags from drying out, etc.
