Painting of a stainless steel kettle tea?

They gave me a base stainless steel whistling kettle for the holidays and I was curious as to type of paint you might be able to use to paint the surface to give it a unique and decorative style. I know there are some spray paint high temperature out there, and would probably use something like a base coat, but is there anything that can be used on top of that most artistic approaches and still are fully functional teapot without chemicals that are emitted from paint or ruin the artwork in the kettle. Thanks! What might be some other solutions if a stainless steel pot can not be painted with confidence and continue working? Are there other types of boilers that could be used?

Introduction paint to stick to stainless steel is not so easy, especially when it will be subjected to large temperature. changes. I would suggest not to do if I still want have to be functional and as last a decorative piece.
