Different Outfit Color Schemes to Wear with Your New Silicone Watch or Jelly Watch

Watches are a universal jewelry accessory for both men and women. Women have traditionally been given more importance as far as jewelry is considered but the modern man now knows how to accessorize. Silicone watches, more specifically jelly watches and slap watches have become a common wardrobe adornment for men and women alike.

There used to be a lot of rules when wearing watches, especially for suits or formal wear and there are still some rules that apply but they are easier to follow than they used to be. There are three things to consider when wearing jelly watches to work or silicone watches with a suit. The first is style, second texture and third color.

The style or shape of your silicone watch or jelly watch is important for more dressy occasions because most formal wear is best with thin watches. You don’t really want the thick clock face turning the shape of your wrist into a bump. What you want in this case is a thin silicone watch. That will make your outfit classy. If you wear short sleeved button ups then a thick watch will still work as long as you don’t use a watch that’s too sporty.

Watch texture is also important because grainy surfaces are bad light reflectors so they won’t look shiny enough on your outfit. The more formal the attire you wear the better it is to stay with shiny surfaces. Again this will make the outfit look classy. Just make sure that you aren’t too shiny and look like a mirror ball.

Color is last because mixing and matching colors is easier and is less restrictive that the first two. Red and green generally don’t look good together but there are some exceptions. Unfortunately there is no hard and fast rule to mixing and matching colors but when in doubt it always helps to wear brown with brown, black with black and so on. A white slap watch will also work really well with practically any color.

Casual wear for a night at the club is pretty easy and the rules are definitely more lax. You still have to consider the textures and colors but the styles are definitely much easier since most casual wear is meant to draw your attention. Big jelly watches will work fine and so will an obnoxiously colored slap watch. Simple silicone watches can be used but a night at the club would be better spent with a thicker watch. Of course, if you’re going to a dinner and wearing a dress up shirt and pants, you would want to strike the balance between the formal and casual wear. Again, color rules are lax but try not to wear neon blue with coffee brown or something of a similar nature.

The final outfit set would be the sportswear. Unlike the first two, sportswear is based on design and function. Regular thin silicone watches are sometimes used but a jelly watch would do a much better job. Jelly watches can be thick or thin but the durability of the closed loop design makes them easier to wear during jogs as compared to a jelly watch with a metal lock. A slap on watch would not be a good watch to wear especially for extremely physical activities and swimming activities because the slap watch doesn’t have a lock to stop it from slipping.
