i need to make puerto rican coffee?
my hubby is 1/2 puerto rican and just went to puerto rico for the first time in his life…now he is NOT a coffee drinker AT ALL but when he went there he drank there coffee, he said it was made with milk and it wasnt made it a coffee maker it was made on the stove, i really want to know how to make the coffee for him being he liked it soooo much! please help!!!! thank you!!!!
Hi! I understand what you are going through!
First off, the best brand is “Pico” (its in a small yellow package in the coffe aisle at the suppermarket)…Its basically condensed espresso grinds…
You will need a ‘moka’ coffee pot (see image) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Coffe_percolator_moka.jpg
these are a little harder to find, but you should be able to get on e online…You will add the grinds to the top of the metal filter, and water on the bottom. As the water boils, the finished coffee will come to the top.
last, you take milk and heat it up on the stove, stirring it very often.
once its is warm, mix half the coffee with milk and add sugar, and yummy!!!
