Food for Princess Party?
I would like some ideas on food to have at our Princess Party. We are having cupcakes and I was thinking about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches cut into stars or hearts with cookie cutters, but I need some more ideas.
I don’t want a bunch of sugary foods and fruit is so expensive. I also don’t want the same thing different then chips. I want something like Princess Tea Party food! LOL!
Thanks!
Since you are serving cupcakes, have you considered baking the cupcakes in ice cream cones and then decorating them.
Finger sandwiches. If your daughter likes club sandwiches, cut each sandwich into quarters and secure with a toothpick. Or, you could use the appetizer sized bread (found in the deli section) and make the sandwiches from that bread.
Chicken strips. Either buy the frozen variety and bake or make your own. Serve with BBQ sauce, Ranch and Honey Mustard for dipping.
I know fruit is expensive, but melon is relatively inexpensive and can be cut into bite sized pieces and goes pretty far. Grapes are also good. Maybe some fresh pineapple.
Jello cubes. Different colors, cut into cubes. Or cut out shapes with a cookie cutter.
I would also suggest kraftfoods.com for some really cool ideas.
