refrigerated or fresh pack pickles?

Refrigerated pickles take a matter of hours to make but can only be kept for up to 2 weeks, the entire time the must be refrigerated. While fresh pack pickles take weeks to make but can be stored for a lot longer.
He wants to make the refrigerated kind, I can’t see me eatting that many pickles that quickly (he doesn’t eat them) so I want to do the fresh pack way.
any insight? Anyone done the methods and can tell me which is better?

I’d say if you’re eating them, you should make the ones that will best fit your pickle-eating habits!

I’d make up some of both, actually – a small batch in the fridge for instant gratification, and fresh pack for the rest so you can enjoy them over a longer time and not be pickled-out.
