Does anyone know how long it takes the yellowness from Jaundice to go away after the original problem is gone?

I was in the hospital for 6 days through the holidays and yellow like a lemon. They gave me meds but I am still yellow. I turned yellow around Dec 26th almost over night after taking antibiotics. Was in the hospital on IV and lots of other stuff…just wondering when I can expect to be a normal color again?

This can take several weeks for the bilirubin to clear out of your system and your skin. Increased water intake (if your physician allows this) will help mobilize the excretion of this.

It also depends on how much build-up you had in your system as to how fast it goes away.
