i have a dark brown/black hair color, and i want to dye it to a light ashy brown. what will the salon do to it?
i have like a dark brown hair colour, i want to dye it this colour…
i think its a light ashy brown colour, like milk tea

so i was jsut wondering, what will the people at the salon do to it? will they bleach it, how long days will the hair dyeing take, and finally what result will i have.

That is not light ashy brown colour – it is medium to dark blonde. To get hair lighter, it will need bleach. It takes up to 2 hours and the result will be hopefully, the one you asked for!!!
Try fine highlights instead. Find a colour range to suit you.
