what would look good with brown sofas?
My walls are so (Broome by Ralph Lauren), the carpet is a tan sand, and my sofa are brown. My coffee table and end tables are black metal legs with stone tiles in various shades of clay, gray ribbon, green and yellow curry. I want to add pads to my chairs, but can not figure out what would look best. I was thinking about turquoise and cream, but there is no turquoise in the tables of stone, also thought in sage green as an accent or a dark blue denim. What do you think? Could you put a photo but do not have a camera that works at the moment …. Any creative idea or ideas appreciated! Thanks
It would be a good idea to get a color wheel. Its three primary colors are blue, yellow and red. From these we obtain the secondary colors: orange (red + yellow), green (blue + yellow) and violet (red + blue). In very simple terms, often the colors opposite each other on the color wheel look good. For example, a bright yellow pillow on a blue sofa adds a dramatic accent. Orange is an ideal color for go with the brown if you keep them in the same warm and familiar. If mixing a secondary color (orange, purple or green) with a primary color (blue, red or yellow) can get muddy if you're not careful. Then there are the neutrals: white, black and gray. Also shades of brown, as the scheme is considered neutral. Turquoise and cream can be look nice with your sofa, but the fabrics you choose will also depend on the style of the sofa. I think turquoise and cream "party", but they do not "pop!" as to give a visual boost. Go red, yellow, bright or orange, or maybe a crisp green apple, if you want to be visually "pop!" They also consider texture, such as pillows, bears, and a furry throw in several colors. Gold and green go very well with the scheme as well. Hope that helps!
