Here’s a hint to solving multiple choice questions: Look for keywords in either the question or the answers, and then look them up in the index of your textbook. If the keyword is in the question, when you look it up, you’ll probably find your answer. If the keywords are in the answers, when you look it up, you can either confirm or rule out that answer.
Example: Your question 1. Looks like the keywords are the answers. So take (a), look up Dante Alighieri in the index of your textbook, jump to the relevant section in your textbook, read that section, and then decide if it matches the question or not. If it does, you have your answer. If not, go to the next answer.
Example: Your question 2. Looks like the keywords are in the question — “Revolt of the Netherlands”. Again, look up “Revolt of the Netherlands” in the index of your textbook, jump to the relevant section in the textbook, and read. The answer should be right there.
Multiple choice homework questions are among the easiest to answer, because the answer is right in front of you. All you have to do is look it up and read! It doesn’t get any easier than that. If you have a problem with this, you should seriously consider getting tutoring or dropping a grade, because this is a skill you’ll need later in high school and in college, if you ever make it that far.
