Help with after-care for nose piercing?
I’m 17 and got my nose pierced about a day and a half ago. Its a 18 gauge stud, pierced by a professional with a hollow needle. I’ve got a few questions because im really nervous that i won’t take care of it well.
It bled a LOT immediately after being pierced. She had to hold tissues under it for nearly 5 or 10 minutes twice. She left a bit of blood to allow it to clot and stop bleeding.
The piercing was tender for a couple hours but there is no pain now, even when i clean it. The blood on the outside wiped away after a couple sea salt soaks (am i just supposed to blow bubbles for like 5 minutes) and i’ve washed it twice with tea tree oil liquid soap (i could only find this out of the list my piercer gave me, any better suggestions and where to find them?)
Am i doing the right thing? Its slightly red around the hole and theres still dried blood clotted around the inside hole. Should i clean this off? How do i know im cleaning it 100% correctly?

it sounds like your doing just fine…
redness doesnt mean infection, usually just irriation… but if it swells or becomes painful… clean it well and if it doesnt go down or it gets GREENish puss then worry and go to the doc… a white ish puss isnt infection either its white corpusles healing the wound…
