What are the best historical (historic/period) Korean, Chinese, and/or Japanese Drama?

I have seen several Korean and Chinese period drama. They are fantastic. I have never seen any Japanese historical drama as I do not know any! If period drama is your cup of tea as it is for me, then what are the best Korean, Chinese, and Japanese Korean historical dramas? Also, in your opinion, historical dramas from which of these three areas is the best in term of acting and production?
What I meant by Drama are the multiepisode television shows. I am not interested in movies, which are abundant.

uhm.. i’m sort of confused i guess.. so i’ll just list the ones i like.. xD

♥dae jang geum ♥ [대장금] (jewel in the palace) – excellent <3

♥yi san ♥ [이산] - pretty good =]

♥yuh in cheon ha ♥ [여인천하] (ladies of the palace) - VERY old but fun ><

♥seo dong yo ♥ [서동요] (ballad of suh dong) - too long for me @.@ ~stopped at like halfway? but it was fun till the halfway point =]

♥hong gil dong ♥ [홍길동] - totally fiction but its historical ~its SOOO funny xD you should def. watch this =]

♥hwang jin yi ♥ [황진이] - i never finished it because i watched it when my grandmom was watching it but it was fun =3

♥jumong ♥ [주몽] - !! how can i forget this one lol xD it was so popular.. tho i hated it.. so boring >.> but everyone who saw it loved it so yeah..

♥goong ♥ [궁] (palace) – well.. this isn’t historical..but its like… eh.. so complicated lol xD okay well its about the royal korean family if the whole democracy thing didn’t happen in korea.. its like the royal household and this girl’s life thing modern version ~it doesn’t make sense much when i explain it but you should really give it a chance =] i promise you’ll love it!

♥goong s ♥ [궁 s] – this is a sequel to goong.. i found it boring.. but then again i stopped after the first episode =3

♥Chun nyun ji ae ♥ [천년지애] (thousand years of love) – I LOVE THIS DRAMA XD i finally found it again! lol anyway.. its old… okay its about this princess who jumped off a cliff (i’ll skip the beginning part) and came to the future world (present)

that’s all i have =3 i promise most of them are great! xD you’ll love them ♥♥♥ well.. i dunno about jumong.. but yeah.. =3 have fun ^^

oh and the king and i is pretty good too =] tho far more advanced than yi san.. o.o or gory? dunno xD

ps: i think you should watch on air =] lol its not even close to historical but its sooo fun! xD its about like the behind the scenes or something about stars and drama productiong, etc. =3
