Where are Paul and Jesus teachings on love in the bible?
Also do you know of any other verses of love in the Bible?
I have some verses of love, but i just wasn’t sure if it was Paul or Jesus teaching, that’s why I asked where are they in the bible.
the one’s I have are 1 Cor 13:1-7, and i have some with Songs of Solomon in chapters 1, 4 , 6, and 8. I know in Songs of Solomon, that is from Solomon, but I’m not sure where the one in Corinthians came from.
These are the words of Jesus
Luke 10:27 (NIV)
27 He answered: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Matthew 5:43-44: “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
Theses are the words of Paul.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8a).
