How much does good Gyokuro tea cost in Japan?
Gyokuro (shaded tea) is one of the most expensive and rare (delicious) green teas in Japan…I’ve heard that (some of?) the best comes from the Uji district. My brother is travelling there soon, and I was wondering if the tea is much cheaper there than the imported tea found in Europe (or anywhere else in the world).
For example…some very good Gyokuro tea that I found here costs around 50€ for 100g. Is this much cheaper in Japan? Would it be, say, a tenth of the price or more or less?

The highest price I saw for Gyokuro when I visited Uji (for the very purpose of buying some high quality tea) was about 4200 yen (less than 30€) for a 100g.
There are certainly cheaper sorts of Gyokuro available in Japan (I bought a 200g bag for 2000 yen) and, I imagine, more expensive ones as well.
