Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, myth or hype ?
During a study of viable world produce I heard the other day that during the process of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee they used animals. Is there any truth in this & to what extent, and is the limited cultivation of this exquisite coffee the reason for such high prices and low consumption ? I am doing a research on emerging markets ( for school projects ) and ones that have produce to offer the world but for whatever reasons the market needs diversity…

Animals are used to carry the coffee beans to market. Is grown in a high section and soil is very rich. Limited by the area there this makes the coffee very high value and price very high. Japan gets most of this product.
Not to be mixed with Kopi coffee, this is beans eaten by an animal and becomes flavored by digestion. Picked up from the ground and washed. The flavor is changed and sells for $600 or so per lb. Wild animals eating Coffee beans restrict the amount of this coffee as well.
