How do I serve beverages at a bridal shower for 20 people? I’d like to serve ice tea, lemonade, and water?
I do not have any pitchers, and would like to avoid a punch bowl. I was interested in a glass or plastic beverage dispenser, because they look so nice. But, they cost so much. Do you know of any under $20? or a creative alternative?
Rent them, or ask the bride’s family if you can borrow some.
Creative – I can do creative. Take some empty wine bottles and soak the labels off of them. Wash them very very well. Fill them with the drinks and make your own labels using “My name is” style stickers – Or, fold a blank index card in half, write “Iced Tea” on it, and place it in front of the Iced Tea wine bottles. Do this for the water bottles and the lemonade bottles as well.
Use a separate ice bucket to hold the ice.
Visit a wine shop that does tastings to see if you can steal some of their empty bottles. Or, a nice bar/restaurant that will just throw them out or recycle them. Be sure to ask several weeks in advance so that you can build up stock.
Know that one bottle holds about 3-8oz pours of liquid. You’ll probably need at least 4 of each on the table to begin with, and then refill an hour into the party.
