Coffee or Decaf During Pregnancy?

Hello!
I am 5 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I have seen my family doc but I will not have my first prenatal visit for a few more weeks. I have been reading that caffeine can have negative effects on the developing baby and can increase my chance of misscariage. I have switched to decaf but when I told my mom she said decaf may be even worse. She said they have to use chemicals etc. to get the caffeine out of the bean which could be dangerous to the baby. She is no expert, that was just her opinion.
Is it best to cut out coffee all together (caf. or decaf)? I have also heard I cannot have green tea which would be my second choice!?
If I have to cut out coffee and tea, does anyone have a suggestion for a safe warm drink I can have in the morning? I can’t get through the morning without a warm cup of something!

try the “soup at hand” cups from Campbell’s. You can also find a lot of teas at Walmart that say “naturally decaffeinated” on the label. Right now i have some STASH vanilla chai tea, and Celestial Seasonings Fruit Sampler herb tea. Both are natually decaf. There are a lot of options for you. Just take some time to read the labels.
