Ruffled men’s shirts… what fashion era?
For my wedding, we are doing a tea party theme. most of the attire will be based on victorian-ish trends… i.e. parasols, long dresses, ruffles, hats, fans, and of course a tea pot for the flower girls basket. What are specifics of men’s clothing that would go well. The groom will probably wear one of the thick folded ties that are very victorian, but I want the groomsmen in something a bit different. What are things to look for in the suits and are the ruffled shirts possibly a go.. because I think they’re sweet!
I think palin starched shirts are good, ruffles was more of France in the 1700s… the age when Marie Antionette led fashion.
