How did German Chocolate icing get it’s name?
One day it was my fathers birthday,and my mom made him a German chocolate cake they said chocolate cake is the best when it has German chocolate icing on it so i asked why do they call it German chocolate icing if it doesn’t have chocolate in it so now my dad made me do a paper on it.I don’t want the answer to the cake just the icing.Thank-you
This cake was not actually invented by Germans. The original recipe was sent by a homemaker in Dallas in 1957 to a newspaper in Texas. It used Baker’s German’s Sweet Chocolate, which was created in 1852 by an Englishman named Sam German for the Baker’s Chocolate brand.
