Does Anyone Know Anything About These Dishes?
I have a set of dishes that are labeled on the bottom “Crown Ducal Grainsborogh Made in England Rd No 749657″
They are a yellowish-cream colour and have flowers along edge and in center. I have a sort of full set of plates, bowls, tea pot and cups, gravy boat ect.
Does anyone have any information on these. What are you worth? How old they are? Where can I sell them? (other then ebay please)

I looked in one of my ceramics from europian & england guides and it said that around 1918 Crown Ducal from Tunstall, England came to be. Your set sounds like it might be newer. Around 1974 this company was taken over by Enouch Wedgwood LTD of Tunstall and this firm was taken over by the Wedgewood Group in 1980 and was then renamed Unicorn Pottery.
The original Crown Ducal was started by A. G. Richardson and it’s patterns were Chintz motifs in earthanware. After it bought out the Gordon Pottery. It’s designs fell between early victorian and later tightly patterned, all over florals.
My book says numerous patterns were made, but they didn’t list yours.
