Help with a band….?
Okay so, I’m in a small (rock) band, probably going to be playing coffee shop. Are there any ways that I can keep the audience amused besides just playing the instrument? For example when I saw a local band, here are some things they did…While in the middle of a groove in a song, the drummer took off the snare drum, and had someone carry it around for him while he was making his way through the shop, using not just the snare, but the metal chairs, tables, and even people…Also, the guitarist would put the guitar on the table right in front of someone sideways, and started to play the slide guitar right there…So are there any other creative examples that are similar to this?
I play guitar but I want some tips for the whole band..
hm that reminds me…during a song, the bass player let someone from the audience play…and another time, the guitarist and bassist switched instruments, so the guitarist was playing bass, and the bassist was playing guitar.
make it a game. Play real songs people know if they guess the song right them they get to try one of the instrument
