Dog tear stain remover?
I have 3 Boston terrier’s all have tear stains. I’ve heard Angel Eyes is good, but I’ve also heard you can use just plain peroxide too. W/ the Angel Eyes, how long does it take to work? And is it available at Petco?

I thought Angel Eyes was something you wiped on the actual stains. If we switch to spring water, will that help?
Angel Eyes will work, although it’s expensive and it does contain antibiotics. I’m not a fan of using antibiotics if you don’t have to do so.
What WILL work, although it takes a bit of time, is to feed your dogs some buttermilk powder with their regular food. You can buy this in the baking aisle at the grocery store. One brand is Saco Powdered Buttermilk. The dogs love the taste and it is good for them. Just sprinkle a teaspoon or two on their food (you can add water if you want) at each meal. I feed my dogs twice daily and use this at each meal. It costs about $3.00 for a container and it will probably last at least a month with three dogs. The hair that is already stained won’t become unstained. But as the dogs shed, the new hair that comes in will be without stains and they will stay that way as long as you feed the buttermilk powder. You’ll notice that all of the white on the dogs stays whiter, too.

Be careful if you try to use peroxide or anything else to clear up the stains that are already there. If you get it into the dogs’ eyes it will damage their eyes. That’s why I think it’s easier and safer to just start adding this to the food and then wait a bit for the results.
