Can decaf green tea count as water?
If I drink a cup of decaffeinated green tea (with no sugar, etc, just plain) can I count that towards my 8 glasses of water per day, or would I have to drink 8 glasses of water AND the green tea?

Ok here we go:
Green tea caffinated or decaf is still a diuretic which means that it is something that will work to increase your body’s frequency of urination. because this liquid will not be retained by the body, drinking too much green tea without drinking adequate amounts of water can dehydrate you which is not fun.
But green tea is so healthy for you so you should definatly drink lots of it and despite it being a diuretic, constant liquids through the body are a good thing. just make sure that you continue to drink lots of water too because there really is no replacement for that.
