Help making coffee with drip coffee maker?
I just purchased my first drip coffee maker. A 5 cup black and decker. I bought a pack of Columbian coffee. I noticed that when I try to make coffee, my coffee isn’t like black…it’s like a dark brown. I add 2 1/2 scoops for one cup of coffee. Also it still has a watery taste. Like the coffee isn’t strong enough I guess. Also my coffee isn’t HOT…it’s drinkable right away. So basically if I left the coffee sitting there for 10 minutes it would be just lukewarm. Is that normal? Is the coffee supposed to be scalding hot when it comes out? And why isn’t it black!! It also has a bitter/burnt taste…not smooth like say even Mcdonalds coffee…and that’s not saying much…help!
You hit the problem right on the head, the coffee maker is not heating the water hot enough.
Coffee is nasty any way so why bother?
