How dark should my 3 tan walls be when I have 1 dark green accent wall.?
I have vaulted ceilings that peak b/t my living room and family room. It is separated w/ a banister. There is only 1 wall that goes completely across both rooms w/out any separation and that is the green accent wall. I want to choose a tan color for the other 3 walls that compliments that green wall. I also have a brown chair and 2 small red chairs and a large leather ottoman/coffee table. The wood pieces I want are an espresso color with glass tops. The sofas are tan with the complimenting colored pillows. How dark should I go with the tan on the walls. Help I am so confussed
Stick with the same color value you already have, the same hue. If you aren’t sure, take your sample to the store and compare the tans with the green. Remember you will be competing with the sofas too. Do your sofas lean towards yellow or that micro fiber tan. They might even go towards the gray tans. Go to the paint store and bring home several different colors that might match in the store. Compare them in your light and then decide. Good luck!
