Do coffee beans ever go bad? I found 2 bags of valve-sealed bags from years ago. Is it still good to make?

I forgot about these bags, they are still in the box and in the valve-sealed bags. I assume that they will not be as flavorful as they once would have been but would it be harmful to use them? They have been stored at room temp this entire time.
