Why are my mouth + throat so acidic when I drink caffeinated coffee?
I don’t want to take Pepcid, PPI’s, or chewable tablets, and I don’t like decaf. I just want my coffee to be less acidic. How can I do this? Is there any way to get coffee that dose not have much acid?
Cold-brewed coffee has 2/3 less acid, 1/3 less caffeine, but with 90% of the flavor of fresh coffee. You have to prepare it ahead of time (it takes about 12-16hrs to make) but all you have to do is add boiling water (for hot) or ice, milk, and sugar to make it iced.
You can use a special device, called a Toddy, or any container (pot, bowl, french press, etc.) to make it. I’ve also used it for desert drinks.
