xmas present ideas for graphic design student?

My sister in law is 20, she’s recently decided to be a graphic designer, and i think she might want a book on design. i saw this cool magazine in a hip store, with pictures of creative modern design in many areas. i was thinking she might like a coffee table book, mostly illustrations, with cutting edge design ideas. she loves cute stuff (not hello kitty, more like paul frank) colorful pop art kinda stuff, modern stuff and fashion a lot. another thing would be a visual history of us fashion and/or pop culture. does anyone know of any books like this? any other presents or anything at all that you can think of helps. thank you!
