how do you make a catapult out of?
3 by 5 index cards
paper clips
mini glue sticks
popsicle sticks
rubber bands
coffee stirrers
straws
one plastic spoon
12” peice of string
pair of scissors
and a metric ruler
make two equilateral triangles out of the Popsicle sticks (i would use a notching technique) then connect (glue gun??) each of the corners of the triangle to the corresponding corner of the other triangle with more Popsicle sticks giving you a shape ^===^ . use the top corner for a brace and use the metric (or imperial) ruler as the actual launcher. connect a paper clip to one end of the ruler (will be opposite side of “bolder holder”). use the string to tie the center of the ruler, to the top brace of the base of catapult (tying in an x pattern) . make sure it is tight enough, to hold it in place, but loose enough to allow the ruler to teeter. connect the rubber band to the paper clip at the end of the ruler, then stretch the band under the top brace and wrap it around the bottom support directly under the “bolder holder” a bunch of times to ensure that the band will stay tight and then tie a knot when you start to run out of rubber band.. break a Popsicle stick into 4 pieces and glue a “boulder holder” to the end of the ruler. load the boulder holder, apply pressure, and release.. hahaha hope this works for you.
