How to prepare wood for staining?
I am going to be staining some wood for a nice look. I not sure what type of wood it is, but I was wondering if any of you know of some good staining tips. I want to have nice smooth finish. Kind of like a wooden coffee table.
The stain I am using also has a sealer in it. The brand name is called MINWAX – Wood Finish. Penetrates, Stains, & Seals

after you fine sand the work using 400 grit stain it and wipe down with a cloth, let dry , then apply another coat if it is not dark enough and wipe down, let dry, then apply sealer , let dry, then sand with 600 grit , wipe off and reapply , let dry then apply last coat
