Did you know Starbucks cheats people out of their money??
Just to let all of you guys know, Starbucks is cheating the consumers and the producers. For Ethiopian coffee, they should be paying the farmers at LEAST $20 per pound. You know what their paying them? 15 CENTS. The farmers obviously are in no position to barter since their starving and have to accept anything. AND they cheat you. They give you a cup of coffee they say is made from Harar coffee beans. When what they do is they put in a couple of Harar beans and the rest of the beans are normal cheap coffee beans. Everyone who thinks Starbucks is fair trade watch the movie Black Gold and you’ll see how awful these monsters are.

If Starbucks paid coffee farmers $20/pound, the price for a cup of coffee at Starbucks would be 20-50 times higher, so people would stop going to Starbucks because they can’t afford to pay that much, so Starbucks would stop buying coffee from the farmers because they wouldn’t have as high a demand, and then the coffee farmers would be even poorer than before.
