Calming effects of coffee?
I find drinking 1 cup of relatively strong coffee (like Ethiopian coffee) relaxing. It is so calming that it makes me just feel happy, and I do not want to do anything. If I were to have a 2nd cup, I’d probably feel other effects (nervous, feeling tired but unable to sleep).
I know that this is not exactly a normal reaction. I started drinking very small amounts of coffee at a very early age. I am not sure if that affects how I feel after drinking coffee.
I am also not addicted to caffeine. I gave up coffee for 5 weeks last summer and did not have any side effects. I drink 1 mild cup a day because I enjoy the flavor.
Does anyone know why I would feel tranquil after having a strong cup of coffee?
because you are addicted to caffeine so once you get your fix of it, your body calms down
