how to clean a Gaggia RI8151/60 Cubika+ Coffee Maker brew unit?

I have a Gaggia RI8151/60 Cubika+ Coffee Maker and the instructions do not explain how to clean the brew unit and the bit that the water comes through. Looking from under it there appears to be a perforated disc that the water comes through. It is very oily and covered in coffee. Can anyone help!?!

The little disk with holes in it should unscrew. Take it off and wash it out making sure the holes are open. There is a little wire spring tool you can buy to shove up the spot where the disk screws on. This will clean out the tube to the water reservoir. Then run a batch of CLR or vinegar thru then a couple of cycles of clear water and your coffee maker will be like new.
