Jimmy is creating a medium-price product that will sell for $7 per pound. The first thing to go into the mixing bin was 20 pounds of the gourmet beans. How many pounds of the less expensive regular beans should be added?
Formula—-pounds*dollars per pound=pound dollars
20 pounds * 15dollars=300
80 pounds * 5dollars=400
20+80=100pounds total
300+400=700 pound dollars total
therefore…dollars per pound=pound dollars/pounds
=700/100
=7 dollars per pound
